Toko Design was established in 2002 by Eva Dijkstra and Michael Lugmayr. Formerly based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and since 2007 operating out of Sydney, where both continue to work for national and international clients in a broad range of fields.

Toko is a multi-disciplinary design studio with a foremost conceptual and experimental approach with an emphasis on print and type design.

Besides their commercial work, they extend the exploration of their visual world through self-initiated projects, like their type based t-shirt brand "High-tee" and miscellaneous collaborations with artists and galleries around the globe. With these projects they seek the area where art and communication collide, progressively blurring the boundaries between art and (graphic) design.
