Rick Berkelmans (1986) graduated last year (2009) as an illustrator at akv StJoost, Breda. His work is full of action and humor and exists of a strong mix of images, typography and color. With his addiction to printing techniques he combines his fresh illustrations with a unique vintage look wich gives his work more personality. The most important he thinks, his work has a certain attitude, casual but well thought out. A cool visual solution to the clients problem. Since 2008 Rick works under the name Hedof. As an illustrator / designer he works for all sorts of client-based projects in different forms of visual communication. He is also working on self-initiated projects such as prints, T-shirts and zines, basically everything where his enthausiasm brings him. His work is regularly shown at exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad and is available at this website.
